Last night, I found my Gr-grandfather’s baptism and those of his siblings. Until then, for 50 years or more, all anyone could say was “Queens County”, which came from his brother’s gravestone. They were born 1828-1838,
baptized in Mountmellick.Parents are Michael Conroy and Elizabeth Marshall. I enjoyed reading yoursite, but decided that my Michael born 1797 couldn’t belong with your ancestors unless he was a much older cousin. Our Conroys settled in southern IN,just north of Louisville.
PS I lived in ST. Peters, MO until 4 years ago.

That’s great, and it’s nice to hear from you. May I ask where or how you found the baptism record? Also, if you have a copy of the original (or the original info) does it state the townland in Queens they were living in?

      Stick around!

      Michael
